Terms and conditions
Last updated 14 August 2026. These terms cover every self drive rental booked through https://gocarrent.in.
1. Who we are
Go Rental & Cabs, 22 Fatehpura Circle, Sardarpura, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001. Reach us on +91 91167 04586 or bookings@gocarrent.in.
2. Who can drive
The renter must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Indian driving licence issued at least one year earlier. An international licence or an IDP with the home country licence is accepted for visitors. The original licence and one government photo ID are checked at handover; photocopies are not enough. Only the renter and any additional driver named on the booking may drive the car.
3. Booking and payment
A booking is only held once the booking amount has been paid online. Unpaid bookings are released automatically after the hold window and the car goes back on the calendar. The balance is payable when you collect the car unless you have already paid in full. A refundable security deposit is blocked at handover and released after the return inspection.
4. Fuel, kilometres and tolls
Cars are handed over with the fuel level noted on the handover sheet and must come back at the same level, or the shortfall is billed. Each car lists the kilometres included per day; beyond that the per kilometre rate on the car page applies. FASTag tolls used during the rental are billed on the final invoice at the amount deducted from the tag.
5. Damage, fines and challans
The renter is responsible for the car during the rental. Damage not covered by insurance, the insurance excess, and any traffic challan or parking fine incurred during the rental are billed to the renter on the final invoice, with the challan reference where one exists. A walkaround video is recorded together at handover and again at return.
6. Prohibited use
The car may not be used for racing or motorsport, driving instruction, carrying goods for hire, sub-letting, towing, or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It may not be taken outside the state boundary without telling us first, as interstate permits may apply. Breaching this section voids the insurance and makes the renter liable for the full value of any loss.
7. Late return
Tell us as early as you can if you will be late. A late return is charged pro rata and may attract a late fee, and we cannot guarantee an extension if the car is booked immediately after you.
8. Breakdown and accidents
Call us first on +91 91167 04586. Do not authorise repairs yourself. In an accident, file a police report and send us photographs before the car is moved where it is safe to do so.
9. Cancellation
See the cancellation and refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts at Udaipur, Rajasthan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
