A local rental desk, not a booking platform
Go Rental & Cabs is run from Udaipur by people who live here. We own the cars, we service them, and the person who answers the phone is the person who hands you the keys. That is the whole difference.
Why we started
Renting a car in Udaipur used to mean a phone number scrawled on a hotel noticeboard, a rate that changed depending on how you looked, and a deposit you argued about on the way out. We had all had that trip. So in 2019 we bought a handful of cars, wrote the rates on a website, and made a rule we have not broken since: the number you see before you pay is the number you pay.
How we actually work
We own the fleet
Every car on this site is ours. Nothing is brokered out to a third party after you book, which is why we can tell you the registration number of the car you are getting and show you photographs of it. Cars are serviced between rentals, not on a calendar — tyres, brakes, fluids and a cabin clean before every handover.
We price in the open
Daily rate, free kilometres, the charge beyond them, the deposit and the cancellation window are all on each car's page before you reach a payment screen. Airport transfers are flat fares with tolls and parking already inside them. There is no convenience fee, no cleaning charge invented at the end, and no card block.
We record the handover
We walk around the car with you and shoot a two-minute video — existing scratches, fuel level, tyre condition, the lot. It takes two minutes and it means nobody has to take anybody's word for anything when the car comes back.
We answer the phone
One number, counter open 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, every day, and 24×7 roadside assistance if something goes wrong at midnight on the Kumbhalgarh road. A person picks up. It is a low bar and it is remarkable how many operators miss it.
What we run
- Self drive car rental — hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, seven-seaters and a few luxury cars.
- Airport pickup and drop at Maharana Pratap Airport, Dabok, round the clock.
- Local sightseeing by the half day or full day, driver included.
- Outstation trips to Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur, Chittorgarh, Mount Abu, Jodhpur and Jaipur.
- Wedding and corporate fleet, including monthly leases.
Where we operate
We cover Udaipur city and roughly 250 km of Mewar around it — Nathdwara, Rajsamand, Kumbhalgarh, Chittorgarh, Jaisamand, Mount Abu and the roads in between. Delivery inside the city is free, including Hiran Magri, Sector 11–14, Fatehpura, Sardarpura, Bhuwana, Udaipole and Dabok.
The commitments we will put in writing
- The published rate is the final rate, tax included where it applies.
- A clean, serviced car with a full tank, or we do not hand it over.
- Your deposit back the day the car is returned, not the week after.
- A 72-hour free cancellation window, honoured without a phone argument.
- A GST invoice by email for every booking.
