How much does a taxi from Udaipur airport to the city cost?

How far is Udaipur airport from the city centre?
Maharana Pratap Airport is at Dabok, about 22 km from the city centre. The drive takes roughly 35 minutes in normal traffic, and a little longer during the evening peak or the wedding season.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing, as long as we have your flight number. We track the arrival and move the driver to match it. Waiting is free for the first 60 minutes after you land; beyond that it is ₹150 for each further half hour.
Will the driver meet me inside the terminal?

Can the driver make a stop on the way from the airport?
Short stops for a SIM card, an ATM or a quick chai are free. A sightseeing detour such as Nathdwara or Eklingji on the way in is billed as a half-day package, which is cheaper than a transfer plus a separate trip — just ask when you book.
Getting from Maharana Pratap Airport into Udaipur
Udaipur's airport is at Dabok, roughly 22 kilometres north-east of the city on the NH-48 side, and it is small enough that you can be in a car within ten minutes of the seatbelt sign going off. There is no metro and no airport bus worth planning around, so almost everyone leaves by taxi. The drive into the old city takes about 35 minutes, a little more if you land during the evening rush or in the November–February wedding season when the Ambrai and Gangaur Ghat roads slow to a crawl.
Prepaid counters at the terminal quote by the kilometre, which is fine until traffic doubles the meter. We do the opposite: a flat fare per car type, agreed before you board, with tolls and airport parking already inside it. If your flight lands three hours late, the fare is the same.
Which car should you book?
For two people with cabin bags, a hatchback is all you need. Two large suitcases and you want the boot of a sedan. Families of four or more, or anyone carrying on to Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur or Mount Abu the same day, are better off in an SUV or a seven-seat Ertiga — the extra room matters more on a two-hour ghat road than it does on the twenty-minute run into town.
Airport transfer or a self drive car?
If Udaipur is a one-night stop, take the transfer. If you are here for three days and plan to see Nathdwara, Eklingji or the Aravalli forts, a self drive car from ₹1,899 a day almost always works out cheaper than a transfer in, a transfer out and a car hired in between — and nobody is waiting on you at the end of a long lunch at a lake-facing café.
Late arrivals and early departures
The late Delhi and Mumbai flights land well after the counter at most rental desks has shut.
