Renting a car in Udaipur — everything you asked
If your question is not here, the desk answers on WhatsApp between 7 AM and 11 PM.
Booking and payment
How do I book a car in Udaipur on this website?
Pick your dates on the fleet page, and only cars genuinely free in that window are shown. Choose one, verify your email, and pay ₹1,000 by UPI, card or net banking. The car is held the moment the payment clears.
Can I book without paying online?
Yes. Request a call back or message the desk on WhatsApp and we will hold the car against your name. Online payment simply means the car is locked in instantly rather than after a phone call.
How much advance payment is needed?
₹1,000 is taken at the time of booking; the balance is settled at handover. You can also choose to pay the whole rental online if you would rather arrive with nothing left to do.
Is my card safe on this site?
Card details never touch our server. Payments run through Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant, and we only ever see a payment reference. Nothing is blocked or pre-authorised on your card.
Will I get a GST invoice?
Every booking gets an invoice by email, and you can download it any time from My bookings. For company bookings, send us the GSTIN and we will put it on the bill.
Documents and eligibility
What documents do I need to rent a self drive car in Udaipur?
An original Indian driving licence held for at least one year, plus one government photo ID — Aadhaar, passport or voter ID. We photograph both at handover and hand them straight back. Photocopies alone are not enough.
What is the minimum age to rent a car?
Twenty-one, with a licence held for at least a year. Some of the larger SUVs and the luxury cars are restricted to drivers over twenty-five.
Can a foreign tourist rent a self drive car in Udaipur?
Yes. Bring your home licence together with a valid International Driving Permit, plus your passport and visa page. That is all the paperwork we need.
Can someone else drive the car I booked?
Only a driver named on the booking is insured. Adding a second driver is a small per-day charge and takes one minute at handover — tell us at the counter rather than swapping seats on the highway, because an unnamed driver voids the insurance.
Prices, kilometres and fuel
How much does a self drive car cost per day in Udaipur?
Hatchbacks start at ₹1,899 a day, sedans a few hundred above that, and SUVs or seven-seaters run between ₹2,600 and ₹3,500. Every rate on the fleet page is the final rate.
How many kilometres are included per day?
Each car lists its own daily allowance — up to 250 km a day on most of the fleet — and the fixed charge for each kilometre beyond it. Unlimited-kilometre pricing is available on longer bookings; ask the desk.
Who pays for fuel?
You do. The car is handed over with a full tank and we expect it back the same way; if it comes back short, we charge the difference at the pump rate, not a markup.
Are tolls and FASTag included?
Every car carries a working FASTag. Tolls you incur during the rental appear on the final invoice at actuals — no service charge on top.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes, a refundable deposit is collected at handover and released the same day the car comes back, once fuel and FASTag are settled. It is never a hold on your credit card.
Do longer bookings get cheaper?
They do. Three days or more always works out cheaper per day, and weekly or monthly rates are lower again. Weekend and festival dates are priced higher because demand in Udaipur genuinely is.
Pickup, delivery and the airport
Do you deliver the car to my hotel?
Free doorstep delivery anywhere inside Udaipur city — hotel, guest house, railway station or your own gate. Deliveries outside city limits carry a distance charge quoted up front.
Can I pick up a car at Udaipur airport?
Yes. We deliver to the arrivals gate at Maharana Pratap Airport, Dabok at any hour with the paperwork ready. If you would rather be driven, our flat-fare airport transfers start at ₹899.
How far is Udaipur airport from the city?
About 22 km, at Dabok, and roughly 35 minutes by road in normal traffic.
What if my flight is late?
Give us the flight number and we track it. Waiting is free for the first 60 minutes after landing, and the fare does not change because the aircraft did.
On the road
Can I take the car outside Udaipur or out of Rajasthan?
Inside Rajasthan, freely — Kumbhalgarh, Chittorgarh, Jodhpur, Jaipur, all fine. Crossing into Gujarat or Madhya Pradesh needs a state permit, which we arrange in advance if you tell us the route when booking.
What happens if the car breaks down?
Call the number on the key fob. Roadside assistance covers you 24×7 anywhere in Rajasthan, and if a car cannot be fixed at the roadside we send a replacement rather than leaving you to sort out your own day.
Am I covered if the car is damaged?
Every car carries comprehensive insurance. You are liable for the excess on a claim, which is why we offer a zero-excess add-on at a few hundred rupees a day — worth it on a first trip through the Aravalli ghats.
What about traffic fines during my rental?
Challans issued while the car is with you are yours. They usually reach us weeks later, so we forward the notice with the photograph and you pay it directly to the traffic department.
Can I extend the rental once I have the car?
Message the desk before the return time and we will extend it if the car is not promised to someone else. Extending after the return time has passed carries a late fee, so a two-minute message saves money.
Cancellation and changes
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 72 hours before pickup and the amount you paid is refunded in full to the original payment method within 5 to 7 working days. Inside 72 hours the booking amount is not refundable.
Can I change my dates after booking?
Yes, free of charge, as long as the car is free on the new dates and you tell us more than 72 hours before pickup. Inside that window we will still try, but it depends on what else is on the calendar.
How long does a refund take?
Refunds go back to the original payment method and normally land within five to seven working days, which is Razorpay and your bank rather than us.
Still not sure which car to take?
Tell us how many of you there are, how many bags, and whether the trip stays in the city or heads for the hills. That is enough for us to recommend two cars and a price, and it takes one message. Most people overbook on size and underbook on days — a hatchback is fine for two in Udaipur, and the third day is always the cheapest one.
